Avoiding Expletive Constructions
“There is”, “there are” or “it is” are Expletive Constructions. Do not start the sentence with these; you can never construct a strong sentence by using these.

For example:
Ø There is an

Ø Business

Ø It was James who
informed the teacher about the various student
Ø James informed
the teacher about various students
Avoid unnecessary worlds
Remove unnecessary words from sentences
For examples:
Ø Our students are
the best students.
Ø Our students are the best.
Ø Their children
are very nice children.
Ø Their children
are very nice
